    Longshot hawkeye

    I have both the longshot and longshot Hawk. I been using the Longshot camera without the relay to view a 10 meter .177 pellet gun target. Works well in this mode, though a higher resolution camera would be great. I recently purchased the Hawk, and now plan to use it with a 10x36 Vortex monoscope instead for these shorter ranges. I tested it with a pair of 10x8 bino's, and for 10 meters it worked great. I also plan to use the Hawk with my 20-60 spotting scope for targets out to ~ 300yards. Past that I'll likely use the longshot with it's relay. A great option for the Hawk would be a tripod plate to use when a spotting scope isn't attached.

    Thank you for the review. Honestly you may have some issues using the Hawk out to 300 yards to view pellets. I would still recommend using the LR-3. The resolution of 4MP should be better than looking through the scope. Either way I'd like to be kept up on your findings.     What I have been waiting for

    I’ve been searching for years for a way to project the view on a spotting scope or telescope onto an ipad. All of the ipad/phone “mounts” are crap and all have a big ring that takes away half the picture, and all of which are unbalanced—and tend to tilt the ipad/iphone. This is “almost” perfect as it will allow me to wirelessly see the image from my spotting scope on a giant Ipad pro. I can sit at my car in a clearing (and keep everything charged) in Colorado. I can scour large areas several thousand yards away to find animals to put a stalk on, without sitting for hours with my eye glued to the eyepiece (even more difficult due to wearing glasses).

    The only thing I could suggest would be to offer a higher definition model which I would gladly pay more for!
