OverObstacle™ Design – LONGSHOT’s Tripod Elevation System keeps the camera and communication body off the ground, thereby providing a stronger WiFi signal down range, and above line-of-sight interference experienced by other cameras that sit on the ground. No need to work around the long grasses, brush, rocks or other obstacles, and the ground doesn’t absorb the video signal, since the LONGSHOT sits so much higher. The tripod has adjustable legs to level it on uneven surfaces.

CrispEdge™ High Resolution Imagery – What is shown on the screen is very sharp and clean, no soft edges to make it hard to read or see. This makes it much easier to see a black bullet hole in a black target. Resolution is 1920 x 1080, far crisper than any of the competition and sharp enough for you to clearly see any change in the target.

All Axis Camera Adjustment – LONGSHOT’s camera, unlike all the others, is mounted on a rotational pivot ball, allowing you to aim the lens in order to place your target in the center of the screen on your device. Set the camera up, facing the general direction of the target, then move the target camera lens to adjust pitch, elevation, cant and rotation to bring the objective into center screen. You can then go back to your shooting bench and not have to move from there until you set out a new target or take everything down to leave.

Blinker™ Shot Locator – The computer alternates “before” and “after” views of the target in a blinking fashion so the new hole in the target turns on and off like a turn signal blinker. This allows the shooter to be better able to pick out position of the new hole on the screen.

Patented “Go-the-Distance” Link Technology – Other cameras claim extremely long range connectivity between the camera and the shooter’s screen, but they don’t stand up to that claim. Only LONGSHOT™, with its patented “Go-the -Distance Link Technology, truly delivers that long range or extreme-long range connectivity. It’s the main purpose behind using target cameras.

It’s a hassle for long-range target shooters, or long-range hunters who are sighting in their rifles, to check their hits on a downrange target. Walking to the target every few shots is impractical, especially when shooting long distance. A spotting scope can be used, but often times they are hard to zero in on the target and may suffer a slight bump that puts them off target. Not only that, but it’s nearly impossible to pick out a dark bullet hole in a black target with a spotter.

That’s why we developed LONGSHOT™ high resolution, all-axis, target cameras. Cameras with a WiFi connection that sets up adjacent to your target and send real time imagery to your tablet via our app.

LONGSHOT is designed and made by a company focused on target cameras and the specific needs of shooters. Being long-distance shooters ourselves, we know how a target camera should be designed and preclude the pitfalls fallen into by software or camera companies who place something into the market without knowledge or research just for the added revenue. LONGSHOT is so confident in the product line, it was the first to introduce a guarantee.

The camera sends a signal to the electronic device onto which the LONGSHOT app is loaded. It is the most intuitive target camera app with the cleanest layout and accepts updates or modifications readily. The patented “Go-the-Distance Link Technology connection with the camera allows you to see, in real time, the target down range and the app allows the shooter to mark and number shots on-screen, reducing the need to walk to the target to see the hits and try to guess which hole was associated with which shot.

The patented connection from the LONGSHOT camera to your device allows you to see the target, but the app has several easy-to-use functions which assist in locating, tracking and recording the results. After each shot, The Blinker™ Shot Locator causes the image on the screen to alternate between the previous view and the view of the target after the last shot. This Blinker™ Shot Locator function gives the appearance that the new hole is “blinking” on and off like a turn signal, making it far easier to identify and mark. Once identified and marked, the screen returns to the normal view and prepares for the next shot.

The LONGSHOT™ app also lets the shooter mark the shots with colored shot markers, which not only allows marking the hole by color, but also the order in which that each shot struck the target. Both the size and color of the markers can be programmed after shooting each group.

All other target cameras make claims of long distance connectivity, yet typically fall well short of the promises made. LONGSHOT’s patented Go the Distance™ Link Technology truly reaches the promised range, whether you are shooting 300 yards, one mile, or even farther.

Positioning your tablet or phone at your trigger hand makes it possible to mark the last shot on the screen without moving from your shooting position. Follow-up shots are much more consistent if the firearm is held the same way and from the same position. Returning to the shooting bench after checking a shot can result in a slightly different hold on the firearm when it gets picked up again, thereby reducing consistency. It also makes for a steadier hold if the shooter isn’t winded from walking away from the table to view and record the shots.

Setting up a LONGSHOT™ target camera is a breeze. Simply position the camera 10-15 feet from the target, aimed in the target’s general direction. LONGSHOT can be positioned farther from the target than other cameras, reducing the potential for projectile “splash” damage to the camera, or of an errant shot striking the unit. Other brands have to be positioned about 4 feet away in order to keep the wide angle lens from seeing so much more than the target. LONGSHOT’s lens is less wide-angle, more directional forward, allowing it to sit farther back, yet have only the target in view.

The tripod on which LONGSHOT sits adjusts to the terrain to keep it level, and a height at which prevents any ground obstructions from obscuring the camera’s view of the target or reducing the WiFi connection to your electronic device. The competition sits on the ground, potentially allowing plants or other obstructions to block the view of the target or absorbing the signal to the device, limiting the range of the connection. Once LONGSHOT is powered up, any minor camera aiming adjustments can be made manually prior to going to the shooting bench.

The All Axis Camera Adjustment allows the shooter to move the camera’s lens up or down, side-to side, or even cant it at an angle if the tripod isn’t precisely adjusted for uneven ground. You can’t do that with any other target camera since their lens only moves in one direction, if adjusts at all.

The CrispEdge™ Imagery makes seeing your shots after they strike far easier. It’s difficult enough to see a black hole made by a projectile in a black target. LONGSHOT has the highest resolution of any target camera at 1920px x 1080px, or 2592px x 1944 for the Ultra HD version, so locating that difficult-to-see hole in the black paper becomes far more efficient.

The snapshot and record functions in the app allow the shooter to take a still or video his shots on target to use later as information for reloading, bullet drop characteristics or just to brag.

LONGSHOT is the only target camera that truly lives up to its claims. Other brands have disappointed, which allows LONGSHOT High Resolution, All-Axis Control Target Cameras say, “See your shot without leaving your spot.”
