Start with the fast button when the pan needs a larger addition. As the display or beam nears the target weight, move to slow and adjust the sliding weight on the discharge tube. When properly configured for the powder in use, the Dandy can dispense in controlled, kernel-by-kernel increments.

Simple setup

  1. Slide the hopper assembly onto the tower rod and secure it at the desired height and angle.
  2. Install two AA batteries in the control pad.
  3. Position the discharge tube above the scale pan without touching the scale.
  4. Add the appropriate smokeless powder to the clean hopper.
  5. Use fast speed for larger additions, then slow speed and the sliding weight near the target.
  6. Empty and thoroughly clean the hopper and powder path before changing powders.

For smokeless powder only.

Do not use black powder or black-powder substitutes. Static discharge can ignite black powder.

Keep powder away from heat, sparks, flame, and other ignition sources. Do not leave powder in the hopper after a loading session. Verify every charge on a suitable scale and always follow current published load data and established safe-reloading practices.

Frequently asked questions

Does it include a scale?

No. This is a standalone powder trickler for use with a separate beam or electronic reloading scale. The scale and scale pan are sold separately.

Can it dispense one kernel at a time?

It can be adjusted for controlled, kernel-by-kernel dispensing. Actual flow depends on powder geometry, hopper position, sliding-weight position, and scale response, so tune the setup whenever the powder changes.

Does it replace a powder measure?

It is optimized for bringing an undercharge up to its target weight. Many reloaders use a separate measure or scoop for the initial safe undercharge and the Dandy for the final controlled addition.

Will it work with an electronic scale?

It is designed to work around many beam and electronic scale layouts. Fit depends on the platform and pan location; use the adjustable height, rotation, and reach to align the outlet without touching the scale.
